Hey there! I’m Ana Paula Nunes

also known as Ms. Nunes,

and here is my online home!

Welcome!

Teacher & Dreamer
“If education alone cannot transform society, without it society cannot change either.” I keep that quote from Brazilian educator Paulo Freire close to my heart, as it reflects my desire to effect a large impact through education.

Who am I?

A NY-based, Brazilian, early-education teacher, who is just passionate about Education. A dedicated educator and researcher, with experience across early childhood education in multiple settings in Brazil and in the US, public and private, including experience on the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches.
My philosophy
My personal touch is complementing education-based strategies with techniques to promote overall health and wellness in a way that respects each child’s uniqueness, while helping them to realize their full potential. To me, education is a process of humanization. Love is a pillar of my philosophy. Love, because I believe that education is something that comes from the heart. The truth is that without it, an educational philosophy is just a theory.
